What kind of tree company are we?

We're a small residential tree crew. Most of our days are spent in backyards around the township, working on the maples, oaks, spruces, and dead ash that grow over people's houses. From removals and pruning to stump work, we handle the job start to finish ourselves.

How do we decide what a tree needs?

We walk the tree with you, look at the trunk, the root flare, the forks, and the canopy, and tell you what we see. If a tree doesn't need work, we say so. If it does, you get a written price with cleanup included. Nobody gets pushed into cutting down a healthy tree.

Why does local experience matter for tree work?

Trees here deal with conditions that crews from elsewhere don't see much: heavy lake-effect snow, sandy ridge soil next to wet clay, and ash trees killed by emerald ash borer. Knowing how those trees break tells us where to cut and how to rig. It's also why we take storm calls seriously in fall and late winter.

How do we treat your property?

We protect lawns with ground mats, rope down anything near a roof or fence, and clean up until the yard looks like we were never there. We carry insurance and will send you proof before we start.
